About Pooja

The journey

My tryst with healthy eating and nutrition science started right from childhood with my mother being a dietitian herself. Eating healthy was always by choice, never forced upon us as habits were inculcated early. A career in Nutrition too was a natural choice; so I joined her Alma Mater, the prestigious Lady Irwin College.
Health is made in the kitchen and I strongly believe that ‘You Are What You Eat’. While losing weight is extremely important to overall health as it helps prevent and manage lifestyle diseases like heart disease, diabetes, constipation, digestion related problems, cancers of various kinds, it is more important to lose weight the right way. Starvation / crash/ quick weight loss diet plans always do more harm than good. A good weight loss diet is always a nutritious and balanced diet that is low in calories but nutrient dense.
